Wingate Bucks Fizz
(Cardamine Dreamtime x Wingate Mandarin Dream)
13th June 2006 - 23rd September 2019
Our beautiful boy, advertised as Free to a Good home in the local pet shop, Jasper joined the family in 2007. We then found out that he had been rehomed twice by the time he was just 9 months old! First time because of cherry eye and the second because they were just the wrong home unable to cope with his exuberance!
Jasper showed us the joys of dog ownership.. How this dog was ever rehomed due to being naughty was beyond us. OK so we did find a couple of walls chewed in the beginning but time helps to forget the misdemeanors! He was loving and so good at welcoming every subsequent puppy into the home.
He also introduced Tom to showing and we would go to all the local fun shows where he often came home with a rosette.
He was also our Pets as Therapy dog, going into schools for visits and lots of fuss
Forever in our hearts

Louie was famous, or should that be infamous! In the days before Facebook, we belonged to various dog forums where Louie was followed by so many for his exploits rolling in the mud. Now it wasn't any mud, it had to be a certain consistency to get a maximum coverage. It couldn't be too wet, it had to be "soupy" and it was essential to shimmy in it to get the head in too.
Breeding wise, he was probably all you're told not to do. From a farm in Wales, mixed show/worker types and mixed solid to particolour. But he can boast to going back to the late Queens Sandringham Mango though, so more blue blooded than most LOL
Louie was also the first of our dogs to go to Crufts though. As a member of the Young Kennel Club, Meg and Louie, who was still only about 8 months old was invited to take part in the "Friends for Life" awards and stepped out onto that famous green carpet just before the Best in Show was called.
He always will be best remembered for being filthy though

29th October2007 - 26th September 2022
Our Golden girl and although not bought for showing, she was our introduction to showing "proper". A judge once said that with Heidi you could see what you got as she never had a really profuse coat. What she had was a beautiful rich red gold though.
We enjoyed doing a few fun shows, meeting some lovely people who were encouraging about going to some KC Open shows.
At that very first open show with Hereford Canine in August 2008, Meg qualified for the Richmond Semis and we thought perhaps we had better go to ringcraft and find out a bit more about this showing malarky!
She enjoyed some nice wins in the ring on the way but she was never going to set the world on fire but it whetted the appetite to do more and set Meg on the path in Junior handling.
Swanmarch First Overture for Olivesong
(Sharemead Squadron Leader x Lochranza Tiara at Swanmarch)
18th May 2009 - August 2023
Our first "bought to show" dog. Charlie loved life to the full and loved to get just as filthy as the rest!
Charlie was the first to hold our affix. He was our first to do the Good Citizen, passing his bronze in 2010. He was the first to gain his stud book number in 2011 at National Gundog in good company.
Unfortunately, Charlie did not love sharing us with the rest of the gang and after many years of trying, went to live with a lovely couple where he loved being able to rule the roost and be the centre of attention.
I can honestly say that whilst we always said we would never rehome a dog, for Charlie, it was absolutely the right thing for him and he was loved throughout his life by his adoring servants here and with Lesley.
Quettadene Elegance in Olivesong
(Quettadene Cosmopolitan JW ShCM x Quettadene Tan Tips)
5th November 2012- 20th April 2020
Remember, Remember the 5th of November, Gunpowder Treason and Plots.... yes that was Ellie, our pocket rocket black whose tail was always wagging!
She had some lovely results in the ring although she never really liked it that much and much preferred to be running through the brambles and muck with the others.
Ellie passed her GC bronze in Aug 2013, gained her Stud Book number at Southern Counties in 2015
Sadly her health deteriorated quite quickly during covid and we lost her much to young
