We are a family based in North Worcestershire. Our first cocker spaniel joined us in in 2006. Advertised as free to a good home, Jasper was the hairiest 9 month old cocker you ever saw. Then we found he already had 2 homes after the breeder and we were his third home because they couldn't cope with him! We couldn't have had a better dog in the family..
We soon found that 1 dog just isn't enough and Louie arrived, followed by Heidi in 2007. Heidi started us showing although it was Louie who gave us our first Crufts experience, stepping onto the big green carpet just before Best in Show in the Friends for Life awards as part of the support act combining the YKC and stagecoach performers.
We registered our KC affix "Olivesong" in 2009. A mix of our surname and also Megs other interest at the time, singing. She was at the time in Young Voices and after taking part in a number of concerts, had also travelling to Cyprus with them in a once in a lifetime experience singing in both the North and South.
Our first bought to show dogs, the black cockers followed with Charlie in 2009 and Ellie in 2012.
Meg had already had some experience with showing pointers, one of the first was Teisgol King Henry. Little did we know then that his Granddaughter (Fliss) would eventually join us. Meg was privileged to Co-own the wonderful Maverick with Diane and Paul Stilgoe so it was pretty much a done deal that one day, one would end up joining the household. Fliss joined us in 2015.
We had a litter from Fliss in 2018 and kept Buffy. The other 5 all have superb homes for which we are eternally grateful and love you all.
The baby of the team, Roo, joined us in 2020, our covid baby.
Subsequently Meg also co-owned Jasmine, Roo's half sister (same Mum) who has also campaigned with some fabulous results.
Whilst we show and thoroughly enjoy the experiences and the friendships that this brings, first and foremost, our dogs are our family. They live life to the full and love to run and get filthy.... and yes, they are all Champions in that particular art! Our dogs are family pets who just happen to show (and sometimes do rather well at it!
We are so fortunate to have had 5 of our dogs gain their Stud Book numbers in very competitive breeds and proud to have made up our first SHOW CHAMPION in 2024.
Meg enjoys showing her dogs and judging. Initially she concentrated on judging Junior handling and had some fabulous appointments including the Richmond Semi-finals, Southern Counties and Three Counties champ shows.
She is currently on the C list for judging (pointer breed specialist).
Thank you to everyone who has supported her though the process and for putting your dogs under her.
We look forward to whatever the future holds for us and hope you enjoy learning more about our dogs
